Recensa ("Recensa," "we," "us," or "our") provides a packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Recensa, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Your name, email address, password, and organization name when you create an account.
  • Compliance and packaging data. The packaging components, products, material weights, and per-state sales volumes you enter or import.
  • Store data. If you connect Shopify, we access order and product data needed to estimate your packaging volumes by state.
  • Payment information. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe processes payments on our behalf.
  • Usage data. Standard technical data such as log information and device or browser details, used to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Recensa platform.
  • Generate EPR obligation estimates, fee forecasts, and threshold alerts.
  • Process subscriptions and send service-related communications.
  • Respond to your requests and provide support.
  • Protect the security and integrity of the service.

Service providers

We share information with third-party service providers who help us run Recensa, only as needed to provide the service. These include Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Shopify (store integration, if you connect it), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete your organization and associated data at any time from your account settings, which removes your data from our active systems and cancels any active subscription.

Your choices

You can access and update your account information at any time. You can disconnect Shopify, change your email or password, and delete your organization from settings. To request access to or deletion of your information, contact us at the address below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date, and material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice.
